The four members of Madahoochi have been writing and performing together since 1996, and with three years of writing and performing experience since their first album, 'Moving On', are now ready to convert the masses with their newest release, 'Big Bang Medley'. Scott Rockwood, the main songwriter and lead guitarist believes that 'for songs to be good and unique, they must be built with a complex musical idea as their foundation. If the idea is complex enough to require focus, then each band member will broaden themselves as musicians and songwriters while achieving the right sound and feel for each individual song.' For Big Bang Medley, the band explored different styles, time signatures, and textures while keeping with their bag of catchy melodies and energetic harmonies to accomplish their goal of creating a well-rounded album that can be enjoyed time and time again.

In addition to releasing two CDs and performing constantly, Madahoochi has also shared festival bills and stages with many great artists, such as The Big Wu, ekoostik hookah, Jazz Mandolin Project, MOFRO, Disco Biscuits, Strangefolk, Percy Hill, the Global Funk Council, Keller Williams, Leftover Salmon, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many more. They have also toured Colorado and Utah, and travel frequently around the Midwest through their home state of Missouri and neighbors Oklahoma, Illinois, and Arkansas.
